In our monthly forecast we suggested it would begin to warm up during the middle of March, and it does look as though the weather is going to behave itself and do as we forecast. The next few days will remain rather chilly, and often cloudy, with some mostly light rain in places. 
By the end of Sunday it should be feeling milder across most of the country, but the real noticeable change looks likely to develop during the first half of next week, with temperatures in southern areas perhaps rising to 14C by Wednesday, during brighter spells. So the chances of the warmest spell of weather since the last autumn are looking quite good.
