Mixed weekend, rain for most
Mostly mild weather will continue through the weekend, but it will be unsettled with rain affecting most places at times.
Temperatures will be peaking at around 15C in southern areas, so it will feel spring like during drier spells. Next week may see drier conditions return to eastern areas, with the west probably staying mostly unsettled. So good weather for the late blooming daffodils and tulips to start catching up after a very late start this spring.
The change in the weather is being driven by pressure rising to the south, with the jet stream heading back towards it usual location to the north west of Britain. This looks like setting the theme for some time, but as we head towards the end of the month and into April, it may well flip back temporarily, providing the ideal conditions for a very late snowfall. We'll be looking out for this during the next few weeks.
