Light snow falling here, settling on all surfaces, given a light dusting so far. It won't be lasting for long looking at the radar though. Smile

Re: Snow Reports : WEF Monday 8th February

Yesterday evening when I came out of the office in Eastbourne at 5.30pm, it was snowing properly, and settling on car roofs. It stopped soon after, and there's nothing left on the aforementioned cars this morning. However, the hills to the west (the foothills of Beachy Head, if you like) appear white in places this morning.

Re: Snow Reports : WEF Monday 8th February

There were signs of some over night snow on the roof of my car this morning in the form of a little frozen slush.

Could well be a few more wintry shows pushing in from the East coast again later today and tomorrow, but I am not getting excited about this.

Moderate hail, sleet and finally snow shower here SE of Nottingham, clearly visible as an intensifying feature on the 1330 Met radar

Clusters of showers appear to be massing in the N Sea - could be good for tonight

Re: Snow Reports : WEF Monday 8th February

Still waiting for my 2cm promised to me by the local forecast last night.
Mind you, I could see that 2cm was very optimistic and a light sleet flurry was the most likely.
Good luck to those down in the far SE corner of Kent later!

Light covering of snow deposited here by overnight snow showers. Looks beautifully crisp and clear out there now oShockedSmile

The snow showers do always seem to have the legs to make it here on the Western edge of the Pennines before fizzling literally as soon as they have passed over in North-East/Easterly setups. Witnessed this a few times this winter.

18th day with snow falling this winter, easily the most on my records since moving here (1996/97).
