Reading just shy of a 6.

Interesting how the BBC are always a little reluctant compared to MetO to up the UV forecast; for example, there have been numerous 6s forecast by MetO in the S recently, but the Beeb forecast won't raise its head above the 'Moderate' parapet.
Changed for Thursday this week- with MetO forecasting 7, Beeb has tiptoed into a 'High' forecast.

Chilton 6.4, Reading 6.3, so not quite as high as was forecast a little further south.
Camborne- second day on 7!
Reading- second day on 6.3
Chilton- second day on 6.4
These readings all seem absolutely right, given the conditions AND the forecasts from MetO and Beeb.
6.3 at both Chilton and Reading; meanwhile, under cloud, Camborne has only 1.9
Reading a hazier 6.2 but Chilton and Camborne 6.5
Reading 6.4 (actually 6.2 yesterday, which suprises and surpasses the other stations)
Chilton 6.6
Camborne 6.7
Gib 10.2
BBC weather has UV 'high' posted for 14 consecutive days in the S, including today. Don't think I've sen that before.
Reading 7.3 today; Chilton 7.1 and Camborne 7.
Fantastic.
Reading 7.2, Chilton 7.3 this time.
7.6 in Camborne and another 7.3 in Chilton. But Reading bombed out a bit today.
Very high UV 8 for next week down here

Wednesday's forecast eights are now restricted to the SW, W of a line from Dorchester to Exmoor.
Reading & Chilton 7.6
Camborne 8.0!
This morning and currently we have an 8 here.
Yep; and MetO has backed up again with a broader swathe of 8s for Wednesday. That's why it's so exciting- no-one can tell what's happening from one day to the next in the isles.
Chilton 7.8; but get this- Reading 7.9
Here- the sun scorches within 30 seconds of turning my back to it.
Camborne bombed out.
And Gib reaches 11.0
Despite earlier excitement about highest UV levels this week being today (Wed), none of the 3 S UK stations pipped an 8. Yesterday was generally higher.
It is more humid today- there was dew on the lawn (not Dave Dew- just dew).
Chilton 8.0
Reading 8.3
Top stuff
Peripheral interest- highest UV I can find forecast is in the purple'extreme' category, with 14 forecast, in Mexico City midweek.
Though Khatmandu might be higher with thinner air, but thundery showers are expected.
8s just about making it to N. Wales tomorrow.

with 7 as far as Scotland's Clyde Valley (Dumbarton and beyond) and even a 6 for Lerwick.
The met office round their UV's up remember. So anything over 7 will be forecasted as 8, for example 7.2 would be forecasted as an 8.
