The Manchester record has fallen.

Apart from those pesky clouds, the image shows the parched straw colours of a considerable swathe of the country. And indeed a large portion of land across the Channel.

37.4c now edging closer to the magical 100f!!
Juuuust got a whisker close to 33 C with 29% H keeping DP at 13 C. With windows curtains drawn and fan on, I am just able to keep my hobby room temperature below 30 C but the afternoon sun is yet to get to work on that.
Hovering around the 34C mark here at the moment. Maybe could push for the 35C?
31.6c 88.8F ....it just keeps on climbing. 2 more hours to go as well.
I'd worked out that I would need 32c today here for the record to go elsewhere.
Tomorrow I'm plugging for the magic 100F here (37.8c).
Lakenheath now at 37c it's getting there.

So the report has been, for the temp, rounded up.

I suspect we’ll get to 36C or so.
Hawarden, offended at losing its Welsh record for about 3 hours, is about to reclaim it.

That's joint with Jersey then. If we count

30.2c in Aboyne, the hottest day on record for Scotland
28.8c in Armagh, the hottest day on record for Northern Ireland
37.7c!! So close!
