This has now turned into a thoroughly wet and miserable evening here in Edinburgh as this so-called "summer" continues to go from bad to worse.🤢

In addition to that, today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was just 14.6°C which is absolutely pathetic for this time of year.😡

Currently around 11°C here in Edinburgh although there is the consolation that as tonight is forecast to be milder than of late, tonight's minimum temperatures are at least forecast to be a lot more sensible as opposed to those ridiculously cold temperatures for the time of year which we've been subjected to just lately.

13.8C.  Sunny spells with SW breeze. The blessing for today is that we have lost the Arctic air sourced chill, so it feels milder.

Overnight rain has cleared away here in Edinburgh but it remains largely overcast with only the odd bright or sunny interval at times.

Last night was quite a lot milder than of late with an overnight minimum temperature of 9.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and although that still isn't enough to make it warm and humid in any way, last night's lowest temperatures were at least closer to where they should be at this time of year, thus leading to much more seasonal feel to things.

meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh as I write is around 13°C.

EDIT:

Having mentioned that the overnight rain had cleared away, I can now report that the rain is back again as there are still a number of showers around.🤢😡

Just heard a rumble of thunder a short while ago here in NW Edinburgh.

For that reason, I have just started a new convection thread as there was  a convection thread for May but not for this month.

A much better day than expected on Friday. A wet morning, but that gave way to quite a sunny afternoon, even if it was quite cool at only 16.7°C. Given the rubbish we've seen so far this month though, I'll happily take this afternoon's weather at the moment.

Bright and breezy this morning, with clouds scudding quickly across the sky. There was some brief light rain earlier today (0.8mm fell), and it feels pleasantly fresh.

10.8, dew 9.4 after an overnight low of 9.7 - just about scraping into single figures.

Yesterday's high was 19.9.

This morning has started off on a fairly bright note here in Edinburgh with some sunshine at times.

In addition to that, there's very little in the way of wind and when I look out towards the Firth of Forth, it's like looking out onto a giant glass mirror.

However, we are going to be on the edge of yet another yellow warning for thunderstorms from 12 noon BST (11:00 UTC) and although nothing is really happening at the moment in that regard, there are already some increasingly big towering cumulus clouds around which look set to possibly develop into some quite big downpours later on.

Currently around 12°C here in Edinburgh.

Dull, damp and windy making the current 13.9 C & 90% H feel quite cold. I know this is actually quite typical of our mid-latitude climate, even at this time of the year, but I've experienced nicer November days. A spell of heavy rain in the early hours and the current spitty blowy stuff has given me 5.0 mm so far today, that's 13 mm so far this month which is actually still below average so far for June.

Mostly sunny to late morning, a bit of rain, then a mixed afternoon so far - a fair bit of cloud, but no more rain - yet.

The wind is gusting to around 40mph, and I see stronger winds associated with squally bands of showers moving through nearby. Hopefully they'll avoid here, as strong winds are my least favourite weather.

Currently 17.8 in the sun, dew 11.6, the high so far being 18.4.
