Utd pinch an ill-deserved point, while Liverpool missed a hatful of chances to wrap the game up.

And that's just off the top of my head. Typical example of Ferguson having his head too far up his own backside. Mind you, he's indirectly given Liverpool undue credit for something. A club that's never even come close to winning the Prem since it's creation

Biggest? Hmm, I think he means level of support/watching the match. Given the support in some of the most populated areas in the world for both these two I can see why. Biggest as in best or most important, Not in a million.

The Milan derby matches are probably as big a derby game as I've ever regularly watched on TV. I watched a fair few of these on "Football Italia" on channel 4 on Sunday afternoons back in the 90's, and I remember often wishing that I was actually there at the game. The San Siro has long been known for its special atmosphere, and I doubt you can get a much better atmosphere than what you get there when AC and Inter play each other.

Well there you go, Gary. You've just highlighted precisely why it's pointless. Anyone who's ever been to a Bristol City v Bristol Rovers derby will know they are savage. Always loads of arrests, idiots running across the pitch to get to opposing idiots. Things being thrown, a real cauldron of bile that starts to build weeks before the game and continues afterward. All derby matches mean the same to their own fans (real fans rather than the ones from 300 miles away that watch the odd game on tv), so it's a rather futile point by Sir Al. If he means coverage, well that's down to tv isn't it. It's not a reflection of much else. I'm not saying it's not a big game for the respective clubs real fans, but it's barely worth a **** to anyone else

You can be sure of one thing: Sir Furious will have been giving his players one almighty blast of his infamous "hairdryer" treatment after that result!

A City victory this afternoon wasn't out of the question, but I would never have expected them to win by such a big margin. just like I didn't expect Utd to put 8 goals past Arsenal a couple of months ago, even though I thought they would beat the Gunners.
