Louis Suarez has apparently not issued a statement today expressing his sadness over the news that one of the Monkees has died, and asked whether it was Evra or Ferdinand.

No, your're right.  His commitment until the end is unquestionable but to takle on the half-way line in that manner at 2-5 down and with just minutes to go was foolish and he knew it!

Have to ask though, the penalty was given so WHY wasn't a red card shown?????  That would have made a different game of it without a doubt. Lucky for Arsenal no card was given and the incident got overshadowed by the shock thrashing.

AW looking to officially complain about Vermarlean playing for Belgium........................question Arsene why did you let him go, he got injured in a tackle with Scott Parker yet Arsenal send him to the friendly, and RVP is injured, why send him??? If there was the slightest doubt to the two biggest players at the club, dont send them??, Wenger then sits moaning that the friendlies were silly at such a crucial time in the season, sometimes you have to wonder

Funny how SAF kept Rooney back with a throat infection yet he trained all week.

So what's the outcome gonna be for the Pool v Arsenal then.

Going into the game I thought Liverpool should win this, however they don't seem to be quite at the races as it were.

Currently 1-1, Arsenal having scored all the goals.

Liverpool should be well in front and should win this game

Genuine question - is there a medical reason why Gervinho's head is like it is?

So, basically, Downing is a sack of shite and the assistant ref has had a bad day.

Van Persie has done precisely what Downing should have done when presented with a similar chance.

Liverpool have been well and truly mugged.

Kuyt missing a penalty didn't help did it, however as said Liverpool don't seem to be able to put the ball in the net, as the game went on, you just felt Arsenal would nick it somehow.

If's might's nearly unlucky , makes no difference tomorrows papers will say 2-1 to Arsenal,  I am sure many supporters have seen their team mugged .

I'm afraid Liverpool's home form has well and truely let them down this season, have to ask why did they buy Geordie boy and Downing, they do nothing for the team IMO.

Anyway 4 wins out of 4 in the league for Arsenal and 4pts behind Tottenham.

Reading in The Times that Dalglish has been tolld by the owners that they want a fourth place finish this season, in your dreams, me thinks. Considering how much has been spent on players, they don't seem to be getting much value for money.

Liverpool are simply shit. Couple with the tulipexcuses that get wheeled out every time, they are simply a mid-table team to be honest. I did have a chuckle when the "plaudits" were saying Liverpool winning the Egg Cup would turn their season around, yep didn't it just. Same ole same ole, lots of possession can't score. I was pleased when Arsenal won, a Liverpool win would have simply papered over the cracks. Just like Benitez (and Houllier before him) Dalglish has squandered millions on shite players. It's been the story of Liverpool over the last ten or fifteen years.

Never mind, I'm sure many deluded Liverpool "fans" will be thinking that perhaps next season will be theirs
