2.2C and max was 5C, but under clear skies ground frost persisted all day in the shade.
A light sprinkle of snow here and there higher up too.

MICE pies sounds interesting!!!  Well its been a much better day in Guernsey than what they forecast.  Lots of lovely sunshine and wind F4 to 5 max.  


 


Now the hail storm early hours of this morning was a different matter!!!  Woke me up twice - Some of the hailstones were around 1cm

Observations between 8 pm last night and 9 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Clear breaks and partial cloud cover. I think there was a couple of showers.
THIS MORNING: Sunny spells and partial cloud cover, a couple of passing showers.
THIS AFTERNOON: It came over dark and threatening for a time with a short spell of heavy rain and even a rumble of thunder, but then partial cloud and clear breaks in the evening.
CURRENT: Rather cloudy.     8.2 C.    86% humidity.      Dewpoint: 6.0 C.         Light south wind.        Rising slowly to 987.5 mb.

WINDS: Moderate to fresh south west last night and into this morning, then light to moderate south in afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Excellent, very fresh and clean (not quite so salty!).
VISIBILITY: Excellent, except in showers.
COMFORT FACTOR: Cool and wet.
RAINFALL (in mm):   3.6
TEMPERATURES (in C):       Max: 10.0 at 9.30 pm last night.         Min: 4.8 at 6.45 am.

It was clear and chilly and looked like a frost was setting in but in the past hour we have had heavy showers. Temp 3c and rain sounded slightly "solid" on the windows but wouldn't call it at all wintry sadly. Another degree or two lower and it would be a different story.
