A snowless winter for much of lowland Britain so far with no end in sight of the wet and relatively mild conditions....Oh dear .
A few days of cold and snowy weather would be nice but the weather will do what it will do and I can take it or leave it these days in any case..so perhaps its not as bad as it could be. We were somewhat spoilt between Jan 2009 and April 2013 so I guess we must be grateful for the memories.
The window that was wide open for 'core winter' at the start of December is now already more than half way closed and inching closer and closer to the frame every day that passes.
The kids are asking 'where's the snow this year Daddy ?' Having been born in 2007 and 2009 they in a current generation that EXPECT snow every year.
They looked shocked when I tell them that some winters remain completely snowless here in Kent.
On the positive note.. the evenings are drawing out, the sun is climbing ever higher in the sky and there are daffodil shoots popping up in places.
