These downpours just keep on coming, and there's also been a full 2 hours of persistently heavy rain (mostly 4-8 mm per hour) to go with it.

That means something like 10-15 mm on top of a similar amount during the middle part of the day and not much short of that last night.

Provisionally 30-40 mm, which will probably turn out to be an overestimate so perhaps 20-25 mm, but this occurring on a day which GFS had producing less than 5 mm... yell

So BBC weather forecaster this afternoon said there was a warning out for 100mm of rain to fall over northwest Scotland in the coming day or so, he then added that some places could see double that!! Lol could you imagine the pandamonium if that was forecasted for anywhere else in the UK?

Only had 8.4mm so far today, got 15mm yesterday and now standing at 140mm for the month.  I'll easily pass the 200mm total, but would hope to be nearer 300 than 200 if the forecasts are correct.

Some of the river cameras could be worth watching over the next few days.  This is the nearest one to me. Unfortunately there are not many in the NW.

This one is further down the Teith/Forth system,  Would expect the tufts to be gone by tomorrow.

This one could be interesting if you have a lot of time on your hands, wont be much good for the rain, but you might spot a salmon.

29.4mm so far today since the rain started at 5am.

Tomorrow looks like being a little drier if Hirlam is correct, with some torrential stuff overnight monday into tuesday morning.  This heavier band is what could trigger a few more landslides, perhaps a biggie.

There has been a few today up around the Glencoe and Fortwilliam areas.
