Proper power shower-type rain, with even some hail! Sheeting it down now.

EDIT: Stupid rain gauge has decided to stop working so I have no idea how much rain has fallen in the past half hour alone, I would guess it must be 10 mm, I'm sure Steve Gusty may be able to enlighten me.

I hate days like this when a warm front comes through and warms it up for 2 hours and then its cold again. Its basically warm for maybe 2 hours and cold the rest of the day.

Temp risen to a balmy warm 6c!

The mix of showers and winter sunshine has created some really nice skies today. Just nicked a screenshot from a Liverpool webcam - better get searching for that pot of gold Russ, looks like it's on Old Hall St!

Well we can't all live in tropical Belfast where the sun never sets Owen!  Nice pic Russ - nice area to work in as well

Seems like the showers have petered out a bit now, not sure if that occlusion will be much to write home about judging by some of the posts from up north.

Had a wintry mix on the way home. Some quite big flakes of snow in the showers around 3pm. There was lying snow above 300m on the hills around here. Temp currently is 2.6C and falling. Wondering what the band to the North will bring.

A trip to the Pennines today - about 30 mins away - revealed some decent snow for snowballs and snowman building. Favoured areas were shin deep. Kids loved it. So did I. :)
