Echoing my thoughts Brian.  The LP seemingly having a Different Entry Criteria than anything we have had recently - creating the same exit criteria weve had since early december.

Yeh its terrible. Apparently the only place its nearly cold enough is the SE, and even then the odds are not exactly in our favour. 

Could be the first snow for a few million people in 2 years.  I will bank that, and hope for upgrades.

But both GFS and GFSP have very low heights to the northwest by the end of the run.

But there is no way the high can move north. The best we can do is for a UK high and hope the polar profile improves

That could be like when another well respected member of this forum said that winter was over in early February 2005 in the face of seemingly poor model output. And we all know what happened not long afterwards!
