Looks like a messy possible wet-snow, maybe sleety mix for some in the east this weekend, before a continuation of north westerly/ westerly dominated weather.
It really feels as though any sustained cold won't come until after mid Jan.

GFSP brings the low south but the parameters don't support snow and by Sunday temperatures look pretty close to average in the south.

More snow for the north scotland... wet and cool everywhere else.

Where has the real cold gone to?!?

A (brief) bit of fun from the GFS in FI... http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3001.gif

But both GFS and GFSP have very low heights to the northwest by the end of the run.

But there is no way the high can move north. The best we can do is for a UK high and hope the polar profile improves
