A little tip (and speaking from personal experience), don't put a dash before your temp forecast, or some smartass will quip about -3.9c being a bravely cold prediction

The GFSP-based approach has given me a final CET of 5.1*C.


However, this does not account for the signs of a colder second half of January (I just went with average for the second half in each case as the cold signal is low in confidence at this time).


Suspecting that it will not be a clean transition to cold (as usual), I'm only going to make a very slight adjustment down, to


4.9*C


So still an above average month by about half a degree Celsius.

Though far too early in the month but looking around .Metcheck,Mount Sorrel and my own the CET is very high in the  9s' and 10's.......C of course...
