Dark cloud passed by in one direction with blue sky overhead and in the other direction.  Of interest though, okay I may be overselling it with "interest", is that the temp is 5.4ºc but with a DP of -1ºc a light snow flurry fell rather than nothing or drizzle.  So in general terms it bodes well for many showers being snow in many places.

Plenty of hail showers today with strong and gusty winds. I will keep up the precipitation quality control Joe Bloggs, I won't let them pass Chorlton to you unless they're of snow or hail.

Yes dps now down to -1.0, 2mT here at +5.9

You can certainly feel the difference from this morning and it's prompted me to pop my heating on early!

Wow, that was a bit mental. Huge 50p flakes blowing horizontally. Feels seriously bitter with a windchill of -7C.

And now it's starting up again.

The local forecast has changed 3 times today on the BBC website which shows sleet. Just had a snow flurry so it just shows how difficult this current cold spell is to call.

Occasional light to moderate snow showers now in York, but apparently it's flegging it down back at home.

Hard one to call this is to be honest. Temperatures around 5c but dew point at -3c

We had a heavy snow shower in Dudley about 20 mins ago. Cleared through now. It's going to be an interesting night and day tomorrow i think.

First shower of the day which fell as hail, temp still not that low at 4.4c and DP just above freezing.

Still a mixture of soft hail and snow in the showers, giving temporary accumulations on cars. Looks to be plenty of showers upstream too... The Sheffield United v Spurs match should be an interesting watch tonight, I imagine a few snow showers will make an appearance.
As I write the snow is heavier now and it settling on more surfaces...

Nothing of any interest in Walsall. Just shows how localised these smaller showers are.

I wouldn't be so sure. I think we could be in for a little a few cm's if these showers merge or maybe we latch onto a streamer of some sort tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Plenty of snow here (light covering now), been snowing on and off since noon really - sick of it now, roll on Spring!!!

Very heavy snow showers and strong wind too.

This is the third snow big hit for the UK this Winter, amazing if your snow fans I guess.
