Actually - looking at the showers just rolling into liverpool bay - i would say showers are now on a NW now rather WNW trajectory.
One rolling in just now.

Let us know what falls from the shower!
Gone very black in London. According to the radar something heavy is about to arrive. Probably rain or hail I imagine.
We caught the edge of another shower at lunchtime. Typically as soon as I stepped out heavy wet snow to fall, blowing horizontally straight toward me. Lovely to watch if you're indoors, but 'orrible to be out in. Best described as being punched hard in the face by a slush puppy!!
The sun has been out last two hours but no melting due to temperature 0.9c and DP -1.3c.
This was the scene outside as the last of the snow showers went through:
Proper little blizzard right now. Started off as heavy sleet now mostly snow! Might get a covering before the school run. The kids will be happy

The Beeb have this feature skirting down the Welsh coast but to me it looks like its winding up on the NW Trajectory. I wouldn't be suprised if it made it inland. Snow or Sleet though?
*IF* the PPN band currently the North Channel/Irish Sea and moving ESE'wards/SE'wards continues its path, then I'd expect quite a bit of penetration into the Midlands later this afternoon/evening.
It started off as light rain, then turned to snow. then stopped.
Nothing much to boast about.
Hail, then light to moderate to heavy snow here in Norwich. Started to settle on the grass. Now easing off.
Englefield Green, Surrey approx 90m asl.
Heavy hail shower just passed through, turning temporarily to sleet and wet snow.
Temp 2.3c
My first snow of the winter
Heavy shower of sleet / snow / hail here in bromley, currently 3.1c

Worth keeping track of this, if it keeps it's intensity, someone could be waking up to a huge fall.
Nothing here in central London since about 3. I can see patches of blue sky now, in between some very black clouds.
