Looks like it went 'bust' just as the heavy stuff approached Stoke, turning to icey rain/sleet. Typical!

5cm or so here after a very heavy fall of wet snow. 972mb - not that often I've seen a dump of snow at that pressure

Woke up to heavy rain drumming on the roof. +1.3C / dew +0.3C.

EDIT: Having shone a torch outside there are a few large blobs of sleet mixed in. It's a shame the council turns lamp posts off nowadays.

In the end it was just sleet here. I'd imagine it's a winter wonderland over the North Downs though!

Not sure what happened here. Just woke up and radar shows heavy area of precipitation passed over us not long ago. No snow evident from this, however, and our thin cover from last night appears to be in tact......so what fell from the sky? Assume it was rain/sleet, but why has it not washed the snow away......odd, back to bed😴

Still snowing here maybe 5 or 6 cm on favoured surfaces. Looks like we got very lucky here as its rain further south.

The polar low gave snow here in Irlam. Interesting how the clouds change direction.

Another batch of torrential sleet on the Isle and indeed on the mainland, at Sittingbourne. 1C - it was *so* close to being an absolute dumping of snow....

C'est la vie!

I'm hoping that this feature will pull the cold air in with it..it;s also calm so evaporative cooling may play a part, pressure is so low at 972mb too.

It fell as snow here, maybe adding about a couple of cm, so maybe 4-5 cm lying. Can hear the odd drip though. Dog and children are very happy!
