Funnily enough Mersey side didnt get buried.
Most i saw that year was abut 2.5 inches from one snowfall, and i think that was more than most got in my area... 7 miles away in Parts of West kirby on the coast got 5-6 inches on the 23 rd march. They seemed to be just a bit closer to the intense snowfall in wales... strangely on the other side of the River Dee.
But apart from that we kinda missed out too. I remember further in land towards Manchester had virtually no snow in parts from the mahoosive 23rd march blizzard.
if i remember correctly alot of those slider lows that year provided for us nothing more than a few snow squals and a dusting followed by a rapid thaw.
Still reckon it was a brilliant year though becuase the way the snow developed was so exciting.
