Still RAINING here in Sheffield. Lots of crashing going on outside as the melting snow slides off roofs. Must be some warm air mixed up in that feature as it heads south. Hopefully the cold air behind will bring us some snow later...

There's a lot of rain falling in this 'cold' spell...

Almost all our thin, icy covering has now been washed away.

We've just had the briefest of low-fat, diet, snow showerette lites here, with Tesco Value sized flakes (more like snow crumbs), but at least I have now seen a snowflake fall this winter

EDIT: Off to Deal now, so a different windward coast. Any reports I post during the day, will now be from Deal, in case I forget to mention

It's not over, until the fat Scandy sinks.....

Couple of hours of heavy snow in Reigate, Surrey. Everything is white. Temps were marginal for a while but precip rate and a bit if elevation were enough to overcome. Uneven coverage but just under 2 cm on favoured surfaces. Enough for that bright light. Not expecting it to last but happy with second settling snow of this spell.

Snow has stopped here... Temps edged above freezing at 0.1c and slow thaw underway on paths etc. although there's only a cm or so covering, I still managed to build a snowman (more of a snowbaby at around 18in) with my 3 yo daughter.

Before anyone says just because it didn't snow on your area it doesn't mean the warning was wrong, I would say that Aberdeen is not that big a place and it didn's really snow anywhere in the city.

I remain as ever yours hopefully...
