3cm lying although there has been a slight thaw. Temp hovering around 0.2C with a DP of 0C so I expect a slushfest very shortly.

Well a lot of the snow thawed yesterday, still a good covering on grassy areas but roads and pavements clear.

Covering - more of a dusting - of snow here this morning.

Two mornings in a row with the prospect of a decent fall on Thursday, if GFS is correct.

Another dusting overnight still have patchy cover from yesterday and the snowman hangs on from last Friday's fall. Snow has fallen or been on the ground since last Thursday not a bad spell. If it had been a couple of degrees colder it would have been a good one.

When I was clearing the car this morning, I noticed there'd been the lightest of pepperings of snow pellets. Must have fallen early this morning after the frost had formed.

Not a poxy drop here! Utterly boring. Yesterday's brief hope around lunchtime quickly turned to rain, just I had to cycle in it. Four separate freezing cold soakings I got yesterday. Not impressed!

Before that of course, as Jonesey says above, we have ice cold winds to endure for a couple of days. I live in spitting distance of the North Sea, so it'll feel brutal here!

Anyway - back OT. Looking like a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it thing tomorrow for us. I'm fed up with decent snowfall that then melts within hours.

You should all move here.  No gnashing of teeth, no worry, no angst, no chasing of Richard - because there is not and never has been any likelihood of any more snowfall this winter.   We had 3 flurries and one brief covering (that melted in the rain by morning) in January.  So that's it for the year.

Now, will we get our thunderstorm in June or July this year I wonder?   Ooh, the suspense is killing me!
