Just had a pretty but short-lived shower of heavy snow which lay. They're moving through very briskly now.

Sleet, hail and light snow to finish with here. There's a slushy dusting on grass and cars.

Just before it started it was +3.4C / -0.2C, it's now +1.4C / + 0.1C.

Maidstone just got a decent snow shower I'm hearing  amazing what a difference a couple of miles makes, also heard snowing Sevenoaks way.

In fact the shower that is on the Sussex / Kent border on the South Coast has given snow in and around Eastbourne, and that's showing as rain!
