Hi Stormwatcher get your snow chains out. Whoops clear sky now. What a winter. Still just shows the North wind brings rain and sleet, the east wind brings Snow.

Soft hail snow shower left a covering. Could be a good night for the Kent massive especially as there are plenty of showers on the radar.

Looking at the radar it appears that shower activity for the south is going to be more and more confined to  south eastern coastal regions

At Sheperdswell 125 m asl presently and we have graupel showers. I guess it was predictable that as the -10 uppers come across there is shallow convection with cumulus clouds. This is ideal for producing graupel -Soft hail or polystyrene balls. A surprisingly decent covering here over earlier snow. A pleasant surprise.

Had a dusting of snow at work in Sevenoaks, rode through a couple of mainly light snow showers on the way home and got back to a dusting of snow in Tunbridge Wells.

Given how wet everything is I suspect the ungritted lanes I prefer to use are going to be lethal in the morning

I Must say I Was very surprised we had such a heavy snow shower seeing as the Bar is Now 1022. Or am I reading this wrong.
