Notice this band of rain/snow is moving up the m5 corridor from Exeter towards Bristol:

This turned to sleet and almost a period of wet snow because the precipitation was much heavier - best seen all winter here in Exeter, just need it to last more than 1 minute and perhaps settle. - I know settling is asking for too much so perhaps I'll go for 2 minutes of wet snow would be better. Nice to see a huge splodged wet flake here in Exeter - for the first time since March 2013.
Been some more wet snow over Dartmoor giving a spattering:
Frequent snow showers here all morning.
Sleety wet snow's been falling here for about 2 hours. No possibility of it settling, though (which is a good job, given the big match on here tonight!!)
It would have been better if it would have put 10cm's down and the match called off
Heavy shower with a mix of sleet/snow and hail.
A very heavy hail/sleet shower here, black black skies
Had hail awhile back .Sun out again with broken cloud. Pressure 998.7 hpa. Temperature 4.6c. Humidity 79%rh.
Hail/sleet/snow showers here this afternoon, some heavy.
Nice sunshine. Good breeze to dry the washing. Fine spring day
Showers most of the day, rain when light, sleet when moderate, virtually snow at one point. No heavy precip (>10mm/h) today.
Live from #Suttonbank should be cleared soon bear with us
Some short, light sleet and snow showers on Wirral. Can't see anything more substantial heading this far south but after a largely snowless winter it's nice to see
Snowing here in Banbury
Snowing lightly in Manchester city centre, after some hefty hail showers.
Back home, we had a really heavy & prolonged hail shower around 7.15am, leaving a thick covering of hail, then it started snowing. Won't last, but it looked pretty.
Stopped snowing now in Manc, btw.
Snow. 1.0c. Dusting on all surfaces. Nice to see but it will melt quickly this morning.

Down to 0c now as the shower clears. About a cm on favoured surfaces and the trees are all nice and white but the sun will melt it all quickly.
