How could 23.1 C and 63% humidity feel so stuffy and airless even though there is a brisk easterly breeze blowing?

Air temp 23.1C

74% DP 18.2C

The temperatures are expected to peak here between 7-8pm this evening, at that point the wind should be more NE/E.

Its been rather cloudy again today, but lots of blue visable to the east 😕

Big fat ploppy warm rain here at Folkestone. It's not exactly kicking off big time (not like that big MCS event last July) but the lawn will appreciate this bit of rain nonetheless.

21.5 C with 6.3 humidity under a light east breeze.

Looking at the radars, I think this one is turning out to be a bit of a dud, but is it too soon to write it off yet? Especially as the cold front is still some way off to our west and temperatures/humidity are expected to carry on rising anyway.

Not expected to drop into teens until around 1am, will then remain in high teens for most of the night. It won't drop to 17C(mid teens) until around 4am.

I will add a little local input and say the temps will likely remain in 20's until 2am earliest, and I reckon the overnight low will be around 17.8C at some time between 5-6:30am 😊

Apart from a brief shower at 5.30pm and some distant boomers we escaped the thunderstorms here. Mid afternoon temperatures reached 25.1c before the arrival of the cloud. The upper heat plume late evening was associated with a second mini T2m peak of 21.1c at 23.02hrs after having sat around 19c for most the evening.

I turned it off as soon I got in and it slowly went back to 21C.
