Its the same temperature here, but with higher humidity. Here the wind has a SE element to it so it feels fresher at times, but spend 10 minutes in an air conditioned supermarket and you'll soon get a reminder of the humidity 😂🌴😅

Big fat ploppy warm rain here at Folkestone. It's not exactly kicking off big time (not like that big MCS event last July) but the lawn will appreciate this bit of rain nonetheless.

Looking at the radars, I think this one is turning out to be a bit of a dud, but is it too soon to write it off yet? Especially as the cold front is still some way off to our west and temperatures/humidity are expected to carry on rising anyway.

Based on how late things kicked off just under two weeks ago, I think this one is still alive, even for something surface based as high moisture levels give a bit of leeway when it comes to surface heating. It's currently closing in on 24*C here and is expected to hold at similar levels to as late as 7 or even 8pm this evening.

Mid teens? It's still in the 20's down here Jires. It actually feels cooler in the house still because the humidity isn't as high as outdoors.

Not expected to drop into teens until around 1am, will then remain in high teens for most of the night. It won't drop to 17C(mid teens) until around 4am. 

I will add a little local input and say the temps will likely remain in 20's until 2am earliest, and I reckon the overnight low will be around 17.8C at some time between 5-6:30am 😊

Apart from a brief shower at 5.30pm and some distant boomers we escaped the thunderstorms here. Mid afternoon temperatures reached 25.1c before the arrival of the cloud. The upper heat plume late evening was associated with a second mini T2m peak of 21.1c at 23.02hrs after having sat around 19c for most the evening.

Yes like the one I stay in Chicago is a box type unit and really noisy when turned on.  It should be only use for extreme high temps and not what we got here lately as it no problem on sleeping at 24-25C indoor temps.  I would use it if over 30C inside that was a common thing in the 90's hot spells.  I have the wall unit in our house in the Philippines and only use wisely and set the temps at 23-24C so it won't be too cold and just keep the humidity out.  At daytime I set the temps to 25-26C even so the unit settings can go down to 16C but would use more electricity.  One time I stay in a hotel in Singapore and it was cold inside at 15C due to strong air con. I turned it off as soon I got in and it slowly went back to 21C.
