Yet another disgusting day in this sub-arctic wilderness. A full week without reaching 16C and permacast skies. Was meant to improve in the afternoon but just got even worse. Max a dire 14.8C.


Absolutely horrific end to July. Even 2007 and 2012 had improved by now whereas this stinking abomination of a summer keeps plumbing new depths

I sympathise.  It's been a pleasant mid summer day here by way of contrast.  Kids in the sea at Hastings under long sunny spells and a benign northwesterly.  Amazing contrasts AGAIN on this sceptred Isle.  I hope your fortunes meteorologicallly speaking take a turn for the better soon!

A view this evening at 2200 hrs from Capel le Ferne (170m asl) looking south, in the direction of our next plume, over the English Channel towards France.  The thin strip of orange light on the left side are the lights of Calais where no doubt another night of "migrant activity" will lead to chaos and gridlock back here in the garden of England. Air temperature 13.2C, wind light W.
