The sequence of cooler nights is remarkable given the time of year. Not quite as cool last night with a minimum temperature of 10.2c. This however is still 2.8c below the long term mean locally.
Could the final July CET come in below average after a record breakingly hot start to the month? I know it has been mentioned elsewhere but that would indeed be remarkable.

8.5C last night, makes it 3 now below 10C.Considering the long term average is 15C this run of cold nights is very remarkable!!10.2C8.5C7.4C8.5C

I think though that 7.4C is quite something when considering it was on a very flat, heavily urbanised island surround by seas that are around 15-16C.
The lowest in July here was 7.1C, which is cool, but not exceptional. The lowest it's ever fallen to here in July is 3.9C - though that really is very rare. I think the potential for low overnight temps in summer is more of an urban/rural thing, as there are countless places down south that can get much cooler than here at night in summer.
Towards the end of August and at the start of June, lows around 4C can and do happen, but only very occasionally.
Overnight min 15.9c Oops, wrong thread .....
