I don't think 39C is the weather of anyone's dreams, unless you're a baked potato. I think I'll keep the weather we have here over the dangerous heat they have in Central Europe.


 


I know that a heatwave would be at least interesting, but do people on here really think of 36-39C as pleasant? I find that hard to believe. I just don't see the need for such excessively high temperatures.

Those thunderstorms do look interesting though!

Quite true, I think most in this country prefer sunny weather , low humidity and a temperature between 20 and 25 degrees . Thats warm enough to be comfortable sitting around and not overly hot if you are engaged in manual work.

40c plus is comfortable with low humidity. Which maybe not the case in central Europe.

That's the great thing with places just a bit to the South of us here in Europe. Southern bits of France and the Northern bits of Italy and Spain get the hot weather, the dry summers and relatively low humidity (by and large), the high sunshine hours, but they also get thunderstorms (almost unheard of on most of the US West coast), they get occasional snowstorms in winter, and they have a lovely warm sea nearby unlike the freezing currents off California, Chile or South Africa.
