There seemed to be about two inches of snow lying at about 2am but then it turned to heavy rain and sleet - and only a few blobs are left now. It has essentially been a very wet night with about 12mm counted. Maximum of 4.3C at 5am
2.1C now and any showers will be snow again I expect

Still no recorded air or ground frost this season although ground did get down to 0.5c. Wonder if tonight or tomorrow will deliver or whether the cloud will scupper it.

The snow came to nothing here. Either we missed the main snow band or it was fizzling out as it usually does from the north. We were lucky to get any snow at all in fact.

Heavy snow here for about an hour. Was out for a run during the worst of it. Ran to the top of the North Downs Way near Dorking, called Ranmore. Was very seasonal up there, 1cm covering and very cold with a stiff wind whipping the snow up into clouds......

Woke up to steady snow. A dusting here in town on some surfaces. The hills around are nice and white. Now sleety rain but nice early taste of winter and enough to get the kids jumping around their bedroom.

Can't beat pulling the curtains back snow 🙂

Words fail me on just how crap this northerly has been. Even worse than November 2013, December 2013 and February 2015.

A thin covering of snow but most pathetic of all about this sick joke of a cold snap is the temperature has not even gone below freezing. Vile wind kept rattling away all night keeping me awake and temperature no lower than 0.6C.

Absolutely disgusting horrific excuse for a cold snap. A complete waste of space and depressing in the extreme

Personally I have enjoyed the novelty of seeing snow fall after so many months but each to their own.

Had about 15-20 mins of 'proper' snow after earlier rain, heavy enough to leave a slushy covering. Nice to see falling and temporary laying snow in November

There is some very localised amounts here in Stoke. It was virtually snow free along the M6 until J15 with some on the verges but it takes until the top end of Stoke to get the larger amounts as you head towards Leek.

Must have been about 3cm at least and in the fields its deeper. At 7am it was slushy out but the temp must have dropped as the sun rose as it is now freezing over which will cause a few issues as the roads seemed abnormally busy for early on Saturday; it seems everyone was leaving to go places early.

Just been out in the fields with the dog and the windchill is pretty bad, we were out for 45 minutes and that was enough. I just can't believe how quickly this cold air came in as earlier in the week it was so mild. More impressive is the depth of the snow for November; I've seen early falls before but this is the deepest since I moved here in 2007.

I wonder, looking at the 00z and 06z runs if a few northern locations could see a bit more snow this evening and overnight.

(Another flurry is heading this direction as I write this)

Only had a spell of cold rain as the occluded front passed over us this morning, the sun is out now but golly, that northerly wind has got a kick to it.

Currently 8.0 C but feels ten times colder due to that in-your-face wind. Still, it isn't coming in from the south which makes a change.

No snow, but we had some really strong wind squalls through the early hours - enough to wake me up, as it blew our recycling bins down the road (they'd been emptied that day & we'd not put them away)
