I have been watching that narrowing band of precipitation slowly no stubbornly make its way in this direction...and it is still not here. Perhaps it won't.

Good to see the Aberdeen and Dundee contingent get some of the white stuff. Just cold rain here in Crail at 1.2c but snow reported a little inland in Cupar.

Had another 1-2 cms of snow tonight falling at a temperature of -2c which is impressive for November. Following last nights 3cms snowfall this cold spell has exceeded all my expectations.

The first air frost (and ground frost) of the season has arrived - a low of -2.4C earlier and it's still -2.2C at the moment.

What a topsy-turvy start to the cold season we've had here - normally it's ground frost, then air frost, then (if we're lucky) sleet and/or snow.

This time around it's been sleet, then an air frost/ground frost!

I'm not complaining though, compared to the mild gunk we've endured these last few weeks (I mean really, 16C dewpoints in November?!) - it's a literal breath of fresh air.

Same here Darren.  Sleet yesterday and first frost (an air frost!) with a low of -1.9 at 6.40 am.  Its been one of the coldest nights since March 2013!!

Still no air frost recorded with too much cloud as the temperature held just above zero at 0.6c. Wet snow and sleet again. Sprinkling here but it seems as it gets further inland it turns to proper snow as Norwich has proper covering.

First air frost of the season, a respectable -4.2C.

Just starting to cloud over a little. Rain showers expected later in the morning.

It was down to -2.6C at about 1am, but cloud has returned this morning with snow flurries, and it's +1.3C
Still a decent  cover higher up, it's rather variable though due to the showery nature of yesterdays snow.

I haven't ventured out yet this morning but there is a good couple of cms of snow outside so I am guessing e missed the rain overnight and got only snow. A nice pre-winter bonus although we have a wait for a repeat!

We got to -3c last night before showers cropped up and the temp rose. Still snow on two nights is a first for Nov. Top temp yesterday was 2c and it is above freezing now slightly meaning a thaw of lying snow.

What a great tease for Winter...maybe!

Temperature dipped to our lowest of -0.5C just after midnight, since then the temps rose to and stayed at around 2.5C so quite surprised to see ice in the puddles and a frosty hue on the roofs.

As others have alluded to, I also saw (transient) snowfall before the first air frost. Very unusual in this frost hollow! Still, last night plummeted to -3.6C, the coldest night since 25 March.

Yesterday's snowfall was the first November snowfall recorded here since November 2010. It also came a full 7 days earlier in November than 2010 did.

Currently mostly cloudy and still sub zero at -0.8C

Got down to -1.0 C just before dawnbreak even at this end which normally struggle with freezing temperatures at this time of the year given my proximity to the sea, so have managed frost and some ice under clear skies and lighter winds first thing this morning.

Certainly done an excellent job in killing off the nasturtium that had already taken over next door's front garden and has been threatening to spill over onto mine!

Woke up to a dusting of snow which had frozen. Min last night of -2.2C, a few snowflakes recently and atm, but most of the showers lose their energy and die before reaching here.

An overnight killing frost here with the garden a wilting mass of cosmos. A minimum of -1.9c. The wife's prized money plant that spends the summer in the garden and the winter indoors was left in the polytunnel that also succumbed to the sub zero conditions. It was placed under a table in there so hopefully it may just have been spared. I'm in trouble if it dies !
