Wintry up here. 0 C max in Edinburgh today -1 C max in Stirling/Perth. Frost and ice all day....been walking all afternoon in frozen countryside south of Edinburgh. Thick mist on the Forth with the snow covered Ochils rising behind....lovely! Beside the fire now ready for overnight lampost watching!!

It's been a predominately cloudy day after some early morning light rain, maxing out at 12.4c. Conditions now feel favourable for fog so I was interested in the post from Marcus above. Temp currently 9.7°c
