So that was that,normal service has been resumed for this winter,reached 13.1c here today and felt very spring like in this afternoons sunshine following heavy morning rain and an overnight minimum of 6.5c.

I guess this thread can be put to bed, urm until next winter

I think we can safely change the thread title to non-existent winter letdown. Looks warm on the models for the foreseeable future and very little cold air to tap into. I know the councils have slashed spending but the grass verges are so long, as the grass has continued to grow in the south for all but 2 or3 days , surely that has never happened before? With mid to high teens likely in the coming weeks and the extended daylight any cold down here now is far to short lived. Yes the winter of 2015/16. Massive letdown
