Snow showers have got there act together over the last hour. About a cm now and plenty more showers to come looking at the radar. Looks lovely and white outside.

Hopefully we stay in the firing line all night!

Just had a heavy squally hail/graupel snow shower. Left a covering.

As we got moving again, the hail died off and light snow started. This quickly became heavy snow - in fact, amongst the heaviest snow I've ever driven in. Really stunning and, with the hail base, was starting to stick. And then, after passing J10 less than a mile later, it stopped and the sky was clear. Manic weather.

Not bad going that far inland but I can definitely believe it (shouldn't it be snowing in/around Wolves around now?!)

Here the wind appears to have dropped a bit and there were some bits on the ground when I went for some 'fresh air' just before (might have been fag ash). I'm still excited all the same though for some reason - it must be the thrill of the chase (except with no chase and high chances of no thrill either)

Being so central (and close to the high ground of Wales and north Midlands/south northern England) makes this a poor area for snow despite reasonable elevation this side of B'ham.  It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if lines of showers pass us by on every flank or die out over the hills/mountains!!

Some showers are making it through Wales in to the western counties of the Midlands now but it's a hit-and-miss affair.  There's some small showers and some 'banding' together, but they're heading predominantly west to east so even if one passes over head it won't be long before it continues it's journey.  Tomorrow looks quite promising through the day IMBY as the Cheshire Gap appears to come in to play, but I'm not expecting anything overnight except perhaps a literal light dusting on the car if a shower passes directly overhead in the early hours. A couple of cm's would be nice, and any more a lucky bonus.

A couple of showers this evening: the first one just about snow, though sleety at start and end. One just now mostly of rain, just about turning to snow at its heaviest. Pretty unpleasant conditions, tbh.

I went for a walk along the north Down coast from Helen's Bay to Bangor and back (I do realise these place-names will mean nothing to all but a few on here) but got caught in two heavy snow showers which both left the extremely unusual sight of snow lying on the sandy beach.

The shower activity heading towards the Greater Belfast area seems to have dried-up for the time-being after some earlier heavy outbreaks.

Currently +3C/-1C at Manchester Airport.

Disappointing considering it was +1C/0C earlier..

I'm hoping the temps will fall off later in the night or else there'll be tears in the morning (especially from Solar Cycle)

Raining again here, temp up to 2.4C and dew point also rising to near freezing, highest it's been all day. At the moment I feel like I'm wasting my time looking out the window lol so will have a break for a few hours I think. Should be better by then hope fully.

A few squally snow showers in the last couple of hours here,  really does feel raw out there in the strong wind.  Hardly anything has settled yet though.   Hoping I get some of the more intense stuff being reported upstream from me at the moment!

That wind seriously needs to get lost! Had a few wintry showers, mainly hail, but distinctly unexciting for the time being. The wind really is howling.

Had a very heavy shower which left about a cm. But this will probably melt from roads/pavements unless the temperature drops a bit more. Very marginal.

Heavy shower here just passed through, appears to have been mainly soft hail. Strong winds making conditions very unpleasant indeed with thunder/lightning. About half an inch covering but there is a 3 inch 'hail drift' outside my front door 🙂
