Im hoping the cell around Corby could edge this way though I fear it will miss to the north or die out.
Lots of heavy showers/storms breaking out across the Wales and the West Midlands now on net radar.
Brilliant thunderstorm here on N Norfolk coast. Loads of thunder, some pretty close. Shame its not at night to see the lightning properly. Huge amount of rain too (Technical! Don't have rain gauge!)
Edit: Still thunder heard at 1925!
Very dark storm cloud approaching here. Just seen a big flash of cloud-ground lightning to the SE of me just now, with a crash of thunder.
Thunder and lighting here and very dark!!!!
Window banning thunder!!!
Rain just starting.
Very slow moving storms that's for sure.
Very dark with thunder and lighting with some close CG's!
Gusty winds and giant drops of rain now starting to come down.
Torrential downpour!
Just mod to heavy rain here now, 10mms so far.
The ground is sudden.
No rain or thunder here yet Duane but the sky to my south and west looks black and stormy.
More thunder this evening here, but not as good as yesterday!! Another storm around as I can hear very distant thunder. No rain today at the moment anyway.
Frequent thunder and lightning here now but no rain as yet.
Still thundering and black sky but still dry here. Hubby just drove home from work through some torrential rain and said it's raining everywhere but here.
Steve, that'll be the storm just passing us. We're only getting the eastern edge of it. The sky to my east is patchy blue but it's very black in the west and it's coming from the south. There are reports of flooded roads a couple of miles away but we're still dry.

Here's what it looked like our end (sorry photos are all weird and stretched! They've been cropped on here for some reason - TWO doesn't handle images very well these days)
We got a humungous storm around 6pm last evening. The rain started just after I left the motorway between Warrington & St Helens and quickly became torrential - some of the heaviest rain I've encountered. There's one road, about half a mile long and sloping slightly, where there was a river water about 3" deep right across it, with cars ploughing through it. Another road dips to pass under a railway line, and that was quickly filling. I got through, but by the time my missus got there about 5 mins later, it was impassable and she, along with other vehicles, had to turn round & go a different route. A small brook runs into a culvert near the entrance to our estate, and the culvert couldn't cope, so water was overflowing to flood the road.
Impressive stuff - especially as the really heavy stuff only lasted around 10 mins. Must have put a fair few inches of rain down in that time.
The Kent Weather Shield is working perfectly today.12.15 pm grab from Raintoday . . .
And the French cells as seen from my east-facing back yard at about the same time . . .
