Watching the the animated radar and these showers are taking the most strangest of paths.

Heading from north east to southwest and then turning back southeast upon arriving at Southampton/Winchester.

Now if only this happened with snow showers in the winter 😂

Absolute torrents, African style (yes I've been there, seen it) sliding along the road in massive raindrops intensely heavy, with rumbles, flashes and strokes.

I don't think I'll be as lucky with the sun tomorrow with the shallow slack low pressure causing our wind to come in from the north west as the whole thing lumber slowly eastwards. That means any convective stuff that does bubble up inland would head my way.

Getting murky and large ploppy drops coming down. Not much in the way of electrical activity in the area atm - just a couple of strikes showing just now, west of Manchester.

Yes we'd missed it at the beginning of the week but more than made up for it the last couple of days with great convective skies and thunder. Can't argue with two straight days of it. No worries (fingers crossed) with flooding either.

It's eased off a tad now but still rumbling away on occasion. Some juicy cells south of Derby now...

We only have light rain with slightly heavier bursts. Some distant rumbles of thunder and some much closer. We always do well for electrical storms here but I expect that's due to being just to the east of the Pennines.
