A band of rain moves northwards today and brighter conditions follow it. It will be another extremely mild day and in the south temperatures could touch 21C (70F) this afternoon. The weather during the next few days remains mixed and temperatures gradually start to dip.

Saturday starts with outbreaks of rain in central areas. To their north and south it is mostly dry.
Through the day outbreaks of rain push northwards and by the middle of the afternoon they reach southern Scotland. Brighter conditions follow from the south, but showers develop in the west. Central and eastern counties of England have a dry afternoon, as does the northern half of Scotland. Windy in the west.
Exceptionally mild in the southern half of the UK. Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north to 21C (70F) in the south east. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight the rain clears northwards from Scotland. All parts of the UK then have clear periods, but scattered showers continue in the west. Very mild.
Tomorrow is looking mixed. All regions have showers, but the heaviest ones will be in the north and west where they could be prolonged. Still mild, although temperatures generally a little lower than in recent days. Blustery.
Monday is expected to start dry. Much of the UK has a fine day, but in the afternoon outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and possibly into western Britain. Very mild.
Tuesday brings sunny spells and scattered showers to much of the UK. However, in Scotland there is a risk of longer outbreaks of rain. Windy and mild.
Through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday it remains unsettled. All regions could have showers or longer spells of rain, but the wettest conditions generally affect the west. Temperatures dip towards the seasonal average.
