Wet weather pushes into the north west today, but elsewhere it remains dry. Tomorrow will be mostly fine and very warm or hot, with temperatures peaking at close to 30C (86F). However, the fine conditions won't last, and during Saturday thundery showers steadily move northeastwards. The longer term is looking very mixed and at the moment there is no sign of a repeat of the heatwave conditions experienced last July. Tonight heavy outbreaks of rain continue to affect Northern Ireland, Scotland and parts of north western England, but later on they become more showery. Areas to the south and east stay dry.
Tomorrow the rain in the north and north west fades away to leave it mainly dry. Elsewhere it will be fine sunny periods. Much warmer than recently. Temperatures peak at close to 28C (82F) in England.
Saturday is looking very mixed. A band of heavy and thundery showers is expected to slowly push northeastwards across much of the UK. There is the potential for localised downpours and flash flooding. Sunny periods are likely too, and it remains very warm.
Sunday should bring warm sunny periods to much of the UK. However, scattered showers develop and they could turn heavy in places.
The changeable theme continues on Monday. Showery spells of rain probably become widespread, but there will be dry periods too. The warmest and sunniest weather is likely to be in the south.
