Most of the UK will be dry with warm sunny periods today. However, tomorrow a big change takes place as thundery showers push up from the southwest. During Friday night and into Saturday, a more organised band of heavy and thundery rain pushes northeastwards across all areas. Drier and brighter weather returns to all areas during Saturday. Tonight, heavy thundery showers develop in Wales and south western England. Other areas have a dry and muggy night.
Tomorrow, thundery showers push northeastwards across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Areas to their north remain dry and bright. Through the evening and overnight, a more organised band of heavy thundery rain spreads northeastwards across the UK. Flooding is possible in places.
Saturday starts very wet in the north and east. However, the rain steadily clears through the morning, although it may linger in the far north until the middle of the afternoon. The rest of the UK has sunny periods throughout the day, although there could be a few scattered showers. Feeling warm in the sunshine.
Sunday is looking dry, bright and warm in most places. Nonetheless, scattered showers are possible in western counties.
Computer models are suggesting England and Wales will have a fine and very warm Monday. Scotland and Northern Ireland have cloudier skies and showery spells of rain are a risk.
