There will be more cloud than yesterday, but most of the UK remains dry today. The next few days see more changeable and cooler conditions developing in the north. The summer 2024 forecast which covers June, July and August has been issued. The headline is for a slightly warmer and wetter than average season.
A weakening weather front will bring a few spots of rain to northern England, northern Wales and Northern Ireland today. Other areas remain dry, with the brightest conditions in Scotland.
Temperatures range from around 13°C to 21°C. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight it remains dry in southern and central regions. Across the northern half of the UK showery outbreaks of rain spread southwards. In Scotland some heavy bursts of rain are likely for a time.
Tomorrow the outbreaks of rain push down into central and southern counties. However, they become lighter and patchier. Brighter conditions return to the northern half of the UK, but there will be showers. In Scotland they could be heavy and over the higher mountains sleet or snow is possible.Chilly in the north.

The middle part of the week is looking mixed, with high pressure trying to build in from the southwest and low pressure centered north of Scotland. Therefore, the north is likely to be showery and rather cool, while the south should be mostly dry with temperatures close to average.
