The coming week will bring changeable weather to the UK. However, there will be warm and sunny periods at times, with the south likely to see the best of them. In the longer term, there are tentative indications of more settled conditions. Tonight, showers push southwards and there could still be some heavy ones dotted around. By the morning most of them should have moved away, leaving dry conditions in much of the UK.
Tomorrow a few showers may bubble up. However, it should be mainly dry, bright and quite warm as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.

By Wednesday pressure will be falling, so the risk of showers starts to increase. Nonetheless, there should be a good deal of dry weather and in sunny spells it will be warm, especially in the south. During Thursday a weather front pushing in from the Atlantic brings a risk of rain to the north west, and it could turn wet in the far south too. In the following days it remains mixed, with the driest and warmest conditions often in the south.
