Showers become heavy in the north today, but in most of the south it stays dry. The showery theme continues tomorrow, but Sunday is expected to be mainly dry and warm. The first half of next week could see high pressure bringing a mostly settled and very warm period. Isolated showers are possible in the southern half of the UK today, but most places will remain dry and bright. However, showers become heavy in the north and especially the northwest.
Temperatures range from 14°C in the north west to 24°C in southern Britain. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, most of the showers fade away to leave dry conditions across Britain. In Northern Ireland there is a risk of outbreaks of rain moving in from the west by the morning.
Tomorrow showery bursts of rain eastwards, but there will be sunny spells too. In central and eastern England it probably remains dry and bright. That's where the highest temperatures will be.

Over the next few days an area of high pressure is forecast to build across the UK. It brings plenty of dry, bright and increasingly warm weather. In southern and central regions it could become hot for a time. The far north and north west may remain cooler and cloudier, with a risk of rain at times.
