In much of southern Britain it has been very dry in recent weeks and that will continue to be the case this weekend. In the north it's a more mixed picture, with showery and windy conditions. Next week starts on an unsettled note, but amounts of rain in the south east could again be quite small. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Mixed outlook

The next few days bring more mixed weather. Wet and very windy conditions spread across much of the west of the UK on Monday. The rain should clear southeastwards by Tuesday morning to leave dry conditions. Thereafter, the driest and warmest periods are likely to be in the south, with the north and particularly the north west remaining more changeable. It could be very windy at times in the north.
