The fine weather continues today and temperatures will be higher than they were yesterday. Tomorrow it's more of the same, but by Friday, the risk of heavy showers begins to increase in the south west. Through the weekend thundery downpours could become more widespread in southern and central regions. The settled period of weather continues today. Mist and fog lifts quickly this morning to leave sunny periods across the Uk, although it could be cloudier at times in the far north west. It will feel warm or very warm this afternoon.

Tonight it remains dry across the UK. Mist and fog could form in central and northern areas by the morning.
Tomorrow a repeat performance is expected. The dry weather continues across the UK and temperatures are likely to be a little higher than today's. In the south it will be quite windy.

During Friday and Saturday heavy showers and thunderstorms start to develop in southern Britain. Details are uncertain, but at the moment it looks like the greatest risk is in the south west. By Sunday the downpours may become more widespread, but in the north it should remain dry and warm.
