Tonight the showers become more persistent in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Over higher parts of the Grampians and Cairngorms there could be significant amounts of snow. In other parts of the UK cloud amounts vary and scattered showers are possible. Where clear periods develop it will be cold.
Tomorrow showery spells of rain push southwards. The heaviest of them will be in the northern half of the UK and over the Scottish mountains snow remains possible. The showers could extend into southern and central regions at times, but in these areas there should be a good deal of dry weather.
