Rain in southern and central areas clears eastwards today leaving mostly dry conditions across the UK. Tomorrow the risk of rain transfers to the west of the UK, but temperatures will be climbing. The new week starts with a small area of low pressure moving eastwards across southern counties. It will bring outbreaks of rain this morning to southern and central counties, but they readily clear eastwards to leave a dry afternoon. Elsewhere it will be mainly dry, with the exception of northern Scotland where some patchy spells of rain are likely.
Temperatures range from 9°C in northern Scotland to 16°C near the south coast of England. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight it remains dry and clear spells in the northern half of the UK lead to a patchy frost. In the south it will be turning milder.
Tomorrow showery outbreaks of rain push northwards across western Britain and Northern Ireland. They are expected to turn heavy at times. Central and eastern counties of Britain have a dry day. Milder than recently.

Changeable conditions persist over the next few days. Heavy bursts of rain are likely in much of the UK on Wednesday, but central and eastern England could remain dry. Temperatures perhaps reach 21°C during sunny spells. Thursday and Friday are likely to be more mixed, with a greater chance of dry periods. Later in the week it is expected to turn cooler as frontal systems move in from the Atlantic and push eastwards. Temperatures then drop as a westerly flow develops.
