Heavy outbreaks of rain push northeastwards today and in places they could lead to flooding and travel disruption. However, central and eastern counties of England could remain dry and if sunny spells develop it will become very warm for the time of the year. Heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain push northeastwards across the UK today. Travel disruption is possible in places, with the worst conditions likely in Wales, the south west and northern Britain. Rain in Northern Ireland and western Scotland will probably be patchier in nature. Also, central and eastern areas of England could remain dry and if sunny spells develop it will become very warm for the time of the year.
Temperatures range from 11°C in northern Scotland to 21°C in the south eastern corner. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight the heavy rain gradually clears northeastwards. By the morning it should be mostly dry, although drizzly conditions persist in western counties and there could still be a few heavier bursts of rain dotted around.
Tomorrow a few showers develop, but in most areas it will be dry. Cloud amounts vary, but sunny spells develop in places. Temperatures remain above the seasonal norm.

Changeable conditions persist over the next few days. Wet and windy conditions push into the west on Friday, in the east it should remain dry. On Saturday outbreaks of rain clear eastwards as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west. During Sunday another batch of wet and windy weather looks set to return from the west.
