The weather will be mixed today with showery rain in places. Tomorrow looks like a sleepy autumnal day for most, although fog could be slow to lift in places. An area of rain pushes southeastwards across England and Wales this morning. There will be some heavy bursts initially, but they become patchier, with just scattered showers in the south east this afternoon. Showers also feed into the north west of the UK, but they also ease through the day. Elsewhere it will be dry and bright.
Temperatures range from 9°C to 16°C. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight showers could continue in the south eastern corner and in the north west there will be patchy outbreaks of rain. Other areas have a dry night and fog is likely to return in southern and central regions. In the north stronger winds should prevent it from forming widely.
Tomorrow is expected to be dry in most of the UK. The exception is the far north west where the risk of light spells of rain remains. Fog could be slow to lift in places, but it will feel quite pleasant in areas where sunny spells develop.

Forecast details for the next few days are uncertain. The general picture is that pressure will fall as disturbances start moving in from the west. They bring an increasing likelihood of showers and longer spells of rain. Temperatures will be close to the October average.
