High pressure centred to the east will continue to hold Atlantic weather fronts at bay today, so in most of the UK it remains dry. In the coming days more mixed conditions are expected with rain in places, but away from the north west and south west amounts are likely to remain small. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and access premium features, see below)

14 day video weather forecast

Warm afternoon sunshine

A change in the weather is beginning to take place as an area of low pressure slowly moves in from the Atlantic. However, in much of the UK it will be another dry day. Central and eastern areas have sunny periods which will make it feel quite warm in the afternoon. In the west cloud builds and there could be a few showers, with the risk of heavier rain increasing in the far north west this afternoon.

Temperatures range from 11°C to 18°C. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight patchy outbreaks of rain spread northeastwards across much of the north and west. Central and eastern areas of England remain dry. In the south west it becomes windy.

Tomorrow showery rain is possible in much of the UK. However, it now looks as though the main area of low pressure will move away southwards. Therefore, the general picture is a less unsettled one than appeared likely a couple of days ago and some places could stay dry. In central and eastern counties it could again feel quite warm in afternoon sunshine.

Rain amounts low in the south

Through the weekend a weather front is expected to weaken as it slowly push southeastwards. Therefore, in the north outbreaks of rain are likely to be quite heavy, but they become patchier as they move down into central and southern counties. Early next week there could still be showery rain in places, but high pressure will become increasingly influential, leading to settled conditions.
