A band of rain moves down across the north of the UK today but areas to its south stay mostly dry. The next few days will be mixed, with the wettest conditions in the northern half of the UK. By the middle of next week high pressure is expected to become dominant. PS: Don't forget the clocks go back by one hour tonight, as we revert to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). A band of rain pushes southeastwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland today. By late afternoon it is likely to reach north western England, with showery conditions following behind it. Other areas have a mostly dry day, though a few showers are possible in central and eastern England.
Temperatures range from 11°C in northern Scotland to 17°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight the band of rain dissipates as it pushes down into central and southern areas. To its north and south there will be clear periods, though scattered showers push into the far north west.
Tomorrow starts dry, but wet weather will be pushing across Northern Ireland and into north western Britain. Elsewhere it remains dry with sunny periods focused on southern and central counties. Temperatures stay close to the October average.

Next week begins with mixed weather. Some areas see rain, but amounts in the south will be minimal. By Wednesday high pressure is expected to be building strongly, leading to more settled conditions. Initially, there will likely be a lot of cloud cover, but sunshine amounts may steadily increase in southern and central regions. Fog could become a problem.
