Tonight the band of rain dissipates as it pushes down into central and southern areas. To its north and south there will be clear periods, though scattered showers push into the far north west.

High pressure building

Next week begins with mixed weather. Some areas see rain, but amounts in the south will be minimal. By Wednesday  high pressure is expected to be building strongly, leading to more settled conditions. Initially, there will likely be a lot of cloud cover, but sunshine amounts may steadily increase in southern and central regions. Fog could become a problem.
