Most of the UK has a dry Halloween and there will be patchy fog to add to the spooky feel! High pressure is expected to bring a lot of settled weather through the first third of November, although there is a chance of more changeable interludes, particularly in the north. Patchy outbreaks of rain continue to affect northern and western Scotland today. The rest of the UK has a dry day with variable amounts of cloud. Like yesterday there should be a reasonable amount of brightness and in sunny spells it will feel quite warm.
This evening the dry conditions continue. In places mist and fog will form to add to the spooky Halloween theme!
Temperatures range from 11°C in the north to 17°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight a band of heavier rain moves southwards across Scotland. It could also be damp in Northern Ireland and north western England, but other areas remain dry.
Tomorrow the band of rain weakens as it slowly moves down into northern England and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it remains dry, but in Scotland it will be colder than recently.
UK Met UKV, Friday 1st November [Tap animation to toggle cities]
During Saturday patchy spells of rain slowly clear southwards. It should be dry in virtually the whole of the UK by the evening and with temperatures a little lower than recently conditions look promising for fireworks displays. On Sunday scattered showers are likely in the north, but once again it is a mostly dry picture and there should be a reasonable amount of sunshine after early mist and fog lifts.
